Some lads wore jackets even at Abersoch
For several years every summer my family went on holiday to Abersoch on the Lleyn Peninsula in North Wales. We stayed at Tal Fan Farm for a month. The Cheethams came too and I think stayed in a caravan on the Warren. My father went back to work during the week and arrived again each weekend – perhaps Dennis Cheetham too (I don't remember).
In the picture from left to right: my sister Michèle, my brother Martin, Carolyn Cheetham and her mother Eileen, me drinking, Pascale Devaux at the back, my mother with my sister Annik in front, and George Tootell, a school friend of mine.
The farm house is still there but the site is now called Tal Y Fan Holiday Park.
